Pilot participation terms

Use CollabCool like a trusted research community.

These are practical rules for the current pilot. They are not a substitute for final legal terms before a wider public launch.

Use your own account

Do not impersonate another person or share account credentials. Institutional verification is optional; when shown, it means the account successfully verified a recognised institutional affiliation at least once and does not guarantee the person is still currently affiliated with that institution.

Share only what you are allowed to share

Do not post confidential lab or employer material, credentials, identifiable patient or participant information, or other information you are not authorised to disclose. Treat unpublished research and collaboration details with appropriate care.

Keep participation constructive

No harassment, threats, spam, deliberate impersonation, or abusive behaviour. Members can report discussions, and group moderators or owners can review reports and remove content when needed.

Group owners set membership rules

User-created groups can require owner or moderator approval for new members, or allow signed-in members to join directly. Built-in pilot groups may be configured for direct joining by signed-in members.

The pilot may change

CollabCool is still being tested. Features, group structure, moderation tools, and pilot rules may change as we learn from participants. Service availability is not guaranteed during the pilot.

Leaving the pilot

You can stop using CollabCool whenever you want. Account-deletion and long-term data-erasure procedures will be finalised before a broader launch; moderation and audit records may require separate handling.
